Life lately…. #2026 is my year 😂

2 0 2 3. a New Year. a blank page.

2022 was a juggling act while riding a roller coaster through peaks and valleys at super speed. This left little time in between for social media. I prefer seeing the world through my own lens anyway. When I can hit pause I create for myself. I took my macro lens along on one of my long walks with Ruby on the beltline for this impromptu image. A new year is traditionally a time of renewal and something about a new beginning excites me.

Dandelions represent the return of life, the rebirth of growth and green after a harsh winter, and a display of abundant strength and power. They are masters of survival and can take root in places that seem little short of miraculous. Dandelions do not depend on other factors; they flow independently with the winds and are adaptable. Maybe this golden flower is a little sign of hope for what’s to come…

Dr. King means many things to many people. I think he exemplified the concept of courage. To be courageous is to understand what you're afraid of and then refuse to allow that fear to paralyze you. Continuing to grow in spite of unjust circumstances. Maintaining hope for a better tomorrow.
