If you are going to be a sophomore, junior, or senior next year, the Bayit is an excellent option. It has a kosher kitchen, a warm community feeling, and fun events for students of all Jewish backgrounds. If you are looking for a fun, homey, on-campus living-learning space for next year--even if just for a semester--consider applying to live in Emory's Bayit! The Bayit is located in the charming Asbury House in the peaceful Peavine Creek woods (before the lower fields). It accommodates 11, and facilitates a warm, supportive community unique compared to any other living space on campus. The Emory Bayit has a kosher kitchen, and features student-led programming.
Our Bayit brings Jewish students from different backgrounds and varying levels of religious observance together under one roof for a fun and meaningful living-learning experience. It is a place to live with other Jewish students and learn about different Jewish backgrounds.

The Bayit is having a Shabbat dinner tomorrow night! There will be delicious, home-cooked food, a lively Kab Shab (service), and lots of fun! It's going to be the greatest Shabbat you've had since your Bar/Bat Mitzvah! Kabbalat Shabbat is at 6:30 and dinner is at 7:30. It is going to be a good time. Space is limited so RSVP by emailing [email protected] if interested! We will have to cap it because of limited space, so email soon!
