In honor of Masters week, I'm finally sharing a rare realism oil painting I did a couple months ago for my amazing golf-loving boyfriend's milestone birthday.
I've lived a reasonable drive from Augusta for most of my life, but I know very little about golf and even less about the legendary tournament. Very early in our relationship, Chris mentioned this one hole at the course being one of the most beautiful places on earth, so after doing some research, I started to understand the magic of Golden Bell and knew I had to capture it for him.

Sharing this project from the Atlanta Journal-Constitution a couple months ago feels appropriate on the day they announced they're ceasing production of their printed newspaper after 157 years.
The rough concrete walls proved extremely challenging to use vinyl masks for, but it was still easier than trying to hand paint all that tiny lettering 😵💫 I then distressed it all using an orbital sander to give it the feel of being around since the beginning.

The McDonough Public Library children’s area got a fun refresh in the form of some larger-than-life books and toys. It was so much fun painting while the kids watched. They were so sweet and curious. I love answering questions about my work and being an artist.

Progress photos from the first mural of the last post and my mini-me getting some intricate detail practice.

These are two insanely detailed murals I did a couple months apart for a wood products company and I just love the colors. My eyes were crossing by the end trying to get every edge just right and every color taking 2-3 coats, but I don’t leave until it’s perfect and both the client and I were thrilled with the results.

This elevator lobby at Inspire Brands designed by paired my brightly painted background with real, custom-dyed rollerskate wheels and a fun neon sign to set the mood for the space as soon as you step off the elevator.
If anyone received a "bid proposal" from my email, please disregard. My email was hacked.
This is how the donuts get made. Or at least how I got this detailed stripe and bean pattern on the wall.

I realized recently that I made a post awhile back about my daughter helping me on the Dunkin floor of Inspire Brands, but forgot to post the finished pictures. The elevator lobby portion was particularly challenging with the entire-wall gradient, but it turned out amazing, especially after the bright orange acrylic letters were added.
The Dunkin' hallway letters were some of the first vinyl masks I made myself and well, let's just say I learned a lot and have become much better and faster at the practice 😬
The flavor wall illustrates the profiles of different coffees with colored ceramic cups I painted to match the Dunkin brand colors.
The banquette wall was a cool collaboration with another fabricator. I painted the graphics and they attached the silicone lids to specially designed mounts.

Baskin-Robbins rebranded awhile back, so they needed their elevator lobby at the Inspire Brands offices to reflect the glow-up. I whitewashed the brick and mixed up a custom batch of their signature hot pink to get the 31 and sprinkles juuuuust right. 🍦🍨

Another frequently overlooked opportunity for added flair is the humble utility post. This courtyard at Campus 244 is surrounded by offices, a hotel, and CT Taqueria, which kept me hydrated with their delicious margaritas for the couple days I was working. The cute, colorful mushrooms add a touch of whimsy to an otherwise pretty minimalist space.
