NICU journeys look different for each mom and family.
The time babies have to stay in NICU can vary, but one thing remains true — the babies and parents are mighty warriors with stories of great perseverance, love, hope and resilience.

November is Prematurity Awareness Month 💜
As preemie parents, this month gives us a special opportunity to share our stories, to shine light on how prematurity shapes our babies’ journeys, and transforms our motherhood experience.
It’s also a time for My Predestined One (MPO) to continue our mission of bringing faith-based hope, encouragement, and community to parents walking this journey.
This month, let’s raise awareness together — one story, one prayer, and one act of encouragement at a time.
If you’re a preemie parent, what message or moment do you want to share to bring awareness this month? Drop it in the comments. 👇🏽

Last night’s global Wave of Light 2025 Event in Atlanta in recognition of Pregnancy & Infant Loss Awareness Month gave us a sacred moment to remember, reflect, and unite as mothers who carry both love and loss.
It was an honor to stand with women in North Georgia — to light candles, lift our prayers, and remember their precious one’s life together.
We were able to provide tea light candles and prayer on last night. There were also women who had never experienced pregnancy and baby loss, but was WILLING to join us in praying for those across this country who have.🥹🙌🏽 That was beautiful and powerful.
I invite you to share and tag in your Wave of Light photos so we can share here on our socials, and join you in remembering and honoring your babies gone too soon.💕🙏🏽

I know you’ve probably heard this many times from well meaning, but misinformed, family and friends….
“Let your baby’s immune system build by exposing them to germs.” 🛑
This is often suggested by well meaning friends and family members, and sometimes strangers. But, the truth is that a premature baby should NEVER be intentionally exposed to germs. Their immune systems are compromised, and being exposed to something like RSV, flu, or common cold symptoms can lead to hospitalization, long-term health complications, and even death.
Have you ever been given this advice, and tell us how you handled it to help a fellow preemie mom⬇️

Fatherhood Fridays! 🤎
Some people don’t believe in heros, but they haven’t met a nicu dad bravely navigating an unpredictable and scary nicu journey.

“Most people don’t talk about infertility. Fewer talk about baby loss. It’s not something that’s addressed. Not even at church. It seems to be a taboo subject, or something that people don’t want to get into, but the sting of it is real. It’s a painful, heartbreaking, and touchy subject. Trust me, I get it.
It’s something you learn to coexist with, but can never fully “get over”.
And I’ve unfortunately been on both sides of it: can’t get pregnant or can’t stay pregnant.”
