Undercarriage failure stops a job site dead in its tracks. We just finished a critical repair on this Cat 953C - A broken idler yoke.
Ignoring a cracked or bent idler yoke isn't just a nuisance; it is a financial time bomb for your machine. When the yoke fails, your track runs loose, causing rapid, accelerated wear on your chains, rollers, and sprockets.
Worse, if the yoke snaps completely under load, the idler collapses. This often grinds into the track frame and sends a massive shockwave through the final drive. What should have been a standard yoke repair turns into a full undercarriage replacement and a transmission rebuild—costing you tens of thousands in parts and weeks of lost production.
