At this summer's Georgia Health Care Association Summer Convention, our CFO/COO Neelam Rahatekar joined a panel of industry leaders to share how Jewish HomeLife is embracing technology in ways that put our residents first. Her message was clear: being an early adopter of innovation isn't about chasing trends. It's about giving our residents and families real peace of mind.

One example already in action: robotic patrol units now walk our Howell Mill campus each evening, adding an extra layer of safety for residents at Balser and Zaban Towers and The William Breman Jewish Home. Last month, we invited residents and families to meet the "dogs" in person and see firsthand how they work.

Safety is at the heart of everything we do — for the people who call our communities home, and for the incredible staff who care for them every day. We are proud to keep building a place where innovation and compassion go hand in hand. 🏡✨

What is the difference between palliative care and hospice care?

Palliative care can begin at any stage of a serious illness and may be provided alongside treatment. Hospice care is designed for people nearing the end of life, when the focus shifts toward comfort, dignity, and meaningful time together.

As Weinstein Hospice Nurse Practitioner Aliza Afrah explains:

The William Breman Jewish Home's Luau celebration brought island paradise straight to their residents this week! Grass skirts, tropical leis, and beach balls set the scene, while a spectacular hula dancer took the stage to perform for everyone.

Staff and volunteers joined in the fun decked out in their best Hawaiian attire, because at JHL, joy is always better shared. Mahalo to everyone who made this Luau such a special afternoon! 🌴🍹

It was a joy to welcome Pace Academy Girl Scouts to The William Breman Jewish Home! The scouts painted and fired beautiful ceramic vases, which now brighten our dining room tables with fresh flowers. These handmade touches have brought smiles to our residents and remind us of the power of intergenerational connection and community service.
