...in the early '80's, shortly after "The Incredible Hulk" had wrapped its last TV show, we heard Lou Ferirgno was in town.
We were doing a fundraiser and we asked if Lou could make an appearance for the Benefit.
He graciously agreed. He drove himself, arrived on time, then shook hands and signed autographs for a few hours.
It's a pleasure when someone gives freely of themselves. And this, Lou did, to the thrill of many fans!

In the early 90s, I traveled a lot across the U. S. That was why I was sitting in first class of the time.
I took my seat and settled in and had a glass of whatever they were serving. Just before the flight closed, a passenger came aboard and sat in the same row, just across from me.
He was familiar. We looked at each other, nodded our heads and said nothing. Up close, his face was remarkable. Smooth, tanned skin, and on top, perfect hair.
We didn’t speak. We just enjoyed the anonymity of the moment. We could drift off, dream, slump our heads, and drool (if the occasion called for it).
When we got to LA, we again glanced, at each other, nodded and went on our own ways.
Life has moments that stick with you, even when they seem insignificant at the time.
That day, that moment, George Hamilton seemed like a pretty cool guy.
And that’s all I have to say about that.

I was at an audition in a rougher part of Atlanta. There were about ten of us, sitting quietly, reading our "sides," and awaiting our turn.

The lobby door was a fair distance away, and suddenly, a tall, thin, shaggy old homeless man appeared, dragging a small suitcase behind him. He fought with the door and fumbled his way in.

Thinking he might need help finding the bathroom, I stood up. Before I could do anything, he glanced around the room, set his sights on his destination, and darted off, towing his suitcase behind him. Just before he rounded the corner, everyone in our group stood, shocked to realize the "homeless man" was actually Donald Sutherland! He was in town shooting a new movie and was there for a fitting.

This was the only time I saw him in person, and it made a surprising impact on my life: Beware of first impressions, things are not always as they seem.

R.I.P. Mr. Sutherland. Thank you for your good work.
