Coming this summer, Backdrop Collection by GD presents “India”. ​ A recent trip to India will definitely be our introductory tou​r - the sounds, smells, colors (Oh! The colors!)​,  and primarily, the people!  The magical human beings of this country (and the spirit they carry with them) are at the center of each piece in this collection. Despite the fact that there is no way to contain the richness of the golden triangle on canvas or in a photograph, we hope you will enjoy our efforts and take a little of what we have done home with you.

The secret to a soulful interior is history - from the home itself to the collections the clients bring to the table. In that vein, copper patina carries so much magic with it - the sounds of Grandma cooking, slow summer days waiting on the contents of an oven to rise, and the taste of raw batter…obviously. Here’s to homes with soul that carry memories and serve as the backdrop of new ones.

We are looking for an intermediate interior designer to join our team. We are seeking a candidate with 3-5+ years interior design experience with proficiency in AutoCAD, construction documentation, project management, design and sourcing, and Studio Designer software.

Behold. The Historical Concepts Large Conference Room...and break room.

This image has so many elements of story which we adore.
1. Relationships: bringing together cool ass artist friends with amazing clients like this beautiful landscape by !
2. Antiques: They always anchor and instantly bring soul into a space. Plus, you have to sit somewhere, and a chartreuse velvet Louis is the chicest seat in the house.
3. Client treasures: Highlighting special collections and moments (medals, photos, frames, etc.) that already tell and share the stories of the inhabitants amidst newly collected pieces, fresh paint, and a cozy fireplace.
