In a fast-changing world like we find ourselves in today, sharing information is hugely important. Here are some things to keep in mind when thinking about using infographics to get your message across - they can be very powerful but also have their limitations.
The power (and pitfalls) of infographics in emergencies | Jennifer Geib {design + writing} Infographics can be a powerful way to quickly and memorably share information with your audience. Yet there are some things to consider before deciding whether they're worth the effort, especially in emergencies when the need to get information out is at its most urgent.

I've been working from home for years now, and often times with kids/husband here too (I'll let you guess which is more challenging). But this is the first time I've tried to do it without a school/daycare/babysitter break during the day. Loved this post from You Need A Budget (YNAB) on working from home while homeschooling - maybe it'll give you some ideas too? My biggest takeaway - LOWER EXPECTATIONS!

anna l***y photography and I are launching a pop-up workshop series for nonprofits looking to up their visual communications game.
Our first workshop is on Nov 7 - we're keeping the group super small so that we can really dive into participant's actual communications challenges. Visit jennifergeib.com/pop-up-workshop to get more details and to make sure you're on the list for this and future workshops!
Thanks so much to everyone who took part in hosted by the NPO Service Providers' Network - our fifth year of offering a stellar line up of experts for organizations to learn from!

Captions. Not the sexiest of topics, and often a pain in the ass to write well, but I have to admit they’re one of my favorite tools in the content and design arsenal. In fact, let me just say it - I love them. Picture this: You are paging through a gorgeously designed annual report from an organization you don’t know too well that’s filled with all sorts of beautiful imagery - photos, graphs, charts, you name it.
