Congratulations to Faith Wairimu Munyiri on receiving the Convergence Movement Academic Scholarship for Future Ministry Leaders & Practitioners in the Global Church for the 2026–2028 academic years.

Every year we award a scholarship towards ministry education to a recipient in the global church.

This full scholarship will award Faith with the ability to obtain a Masters of Arts in Counseling Psychology.

We are grateful to have assembled a global community of over 100 pastors dedicated to prayer, ministry training, and support during times of peace and crisis.

As national disaster crises continue to unfold worldwide, we are mobilizing our community to pray for the affected nations.

Today, we are hosting an emergency prayer meeting to lift up Jamaica and all those impacted by Hurricane Melissa, as well as Cuba, Bahamas, Bermuda, Kenya, and Tanzania, who are facing similar challenges.

Let us unite in faith and intercession, praying for protection, strength, and peace for these nations.

Today’s Convergence Movement Convergence Church Network - CNET Global Cohort was well attended and inspiring. Thank you everyone who joined and who is doing great work in your respective nations. We were humbled to share a great time together uplifting and caring for one another. We meet the last Saturday of every month 🖤🌍🖤

Today, we are celebrating our partners in ministry and business, Pastor Elikana and his wife, international recording artist Lydia Elikana, who have served faithfully to minister to the Maasai people across the world. The Elikanas hail from Tanzania, Africa.

Through international micro-business initiatives, we have been able to work together to:

- **Support Education**: Help raise and educate four children who are victims of child marriages and others who are orphans. Two of these children successfully completed the fourth form of school last year.
- **Empower Mothers**: Assist struggling mothers in the Maasai community who are in difficult situations by providing a hand up and giving them the opportunity to earn an income by making jewelry and other products now being sold in the USA.
- **Artistic Expression**: Support Lydia in her artistic endeavors, enabling her to record audio songs and shoot music videos. These songs have reached many and blessed the hearts of thousands.

Praise God for the impact that holistic ministry is making in the nations as we continue to serve with all our heart, mind, and soul.

Let's continue to support and celebrate the incredible work of the Elikanas and the positive changes they are bringing to their community and beyond. Together, we can make a lasting difference in the lives of many.

Convergence Church has over the years expanded from one local community to the nations of the world, out of our desire to follow the Great Commission of Matthew 28:18. It is an honor to now serve in and/or have relationally encouraged believers in 41 nations. In 2025 we will continue our work to see more people come to the saving knowledge of the gospel while holistically serving the needs of each local community.

Thankful for the opportunity to review the book, Embodying Black Religions in Africa and its Diasporas by Yolanda Covington-Ward and Jeanette S. Jouili. Published by Duke University Press in 2021.

Pst Jade’s book review was published by the academic journal, Missiology (of the American Society of Missiology) in their July 2024 Volume.
