#NavigatingTheJourney to housing and food
06/18/2026
At Intown Cares, our case managers help neighbors experiencing homelessness through what are called “navigation services.” It is these services that make the difference between remaining stuck and moving forward.
Before a person can move into permanent supportive housing, they may need to obtain identification documents, complete applications, attend appointments, and overcome countless barriers along the way. Each of these necessary steps to obtain housing is an opportunity for Intown Cares to provide navigational support.
Last year, Intown Cares provided 9,219 navigation services to neighbors experiencing homelessness.
Those services included everything from waiting with a client at the DMV and obtaining vital records from another state to coordinating medical care, completing disability applications, providing transportation, and connecting neighbors to food, showers, and other essential resources.
Every service represents a neighbor receiving the support they need to take the next step toward stability.

As Intown Cares approaches the end of its fiscal year, Rachel and Noam have stepped forward to help make an even greater impact in our community.
To encourage support for neighbors experiencing homelessness and food insecurity, Rachel and Noam pledge to match every gift made to Intown Cares before June 30th, dollar for dollar, up to $5,000.
This matching challenge comes at an important time. Every day, Intown Cares helps neighbors navigate the journey to housing while ensuring individuals and families have access to nutritious food. Through housing navigation, case management, food assistance, and community partnerships, we work to help our neighbors build stability and thrive.
Now, every gift can go twice as far.
We are grateful for Rachel and Noam’s generosity and invite you to join them in supporting this work. Together, we can help more neighbors access the housing, food, and support they need to move forward.
Make your gift today by visiting https://icm.app.neoncrm.com/forms/donate and help us meet the match.

This Pride Month, we're honored to recognize several Atlanta organizations helping create safer, more affirming pathways to housing and stability for LGBTQ+ community members.
Trans Housing Coalition
The Trans Housing Coalition helps Atlanta's chronically homeless transgender and gender non-conforming individuals move from the streets into long-term housing. Alongside housing support, they help clients access services such as hormone replacement therapy, legal name changes, employment and education support, addiction treatment, counseling, and other essential resources.
Lost-n-Found Youth
Lost-n-Found Youth works to end homelessness for LGBTQ+ and sexual minority youth in Atlanta. Through a 24/7 crisis hotline, drop-in services, transitional housing, and life-skills programming, they provide young adults with the stability, community, and support needed to build independent futures.
Covenant House Georgia
Covenant House Georgia serves youth experiencing homelessness and escaping trafficking through shelter, trauma-informed care, and supportive services. Across Covenant House locations nationwide, 43% of youth residents identify as LGBTQ+.
status:home
Founded during the HIV/AIDS epidemic, status: home provides permanent supportive housing, healthcare resources, and empowerment programs for low-income and homeless individuals and families impacted by HIV/AIDS. The organization played an important role in Atlanta's response to a crisis that profoundly affected many members of the LGBTQ+ community and continues to provide housing and support for those who are often marginalized and overlooked.
Pride is a time to celebrate community, resilience, and progress. We're grateful to be part of a community of organizations working every day to ensure LGBTQ+ Atlantans have access to the support and resources they need to thrive.
This spotlight is not exhaustive, and we recognize the many organizations across Atlanta supporting LGBTQ+ individuals experiencing homelessness and housing instability. ❤️

Heart + Home 2026 was a tremendous success.
Over 350 supporters came together on Saturday night to invest in a future where every neighbor has access to housing, food, and compassionate support. Because of this incredible community, we raised more than $900,000 to help prevent and reverse homelessness and hunger in Intown Atlanta.
Thank you to every guest, donor, volunteer, bidder, and advocate who made this night so meaningful. Your generosity helps remove barriers and creates real pathways to housing stability and food security for our neighbors.
A special thank you to our Presenting Sponsor, AssuranceAmerica, and our Champion Sponsor, Amazon.com, for your extraordinary support of our mission and community. We are deeply grateful.
This work is only possible because of people who believe every neighbor deserves a place to call home. ❤️
