Have we mentioned how much we love our job?

If there's one thing we know, before it works, it’s a little ugly.

We say this a lot, but it still feels weird every time. We get to work with really talented people. Like… really talented.

And somehow our job is to step into their world, figure out what makes it tick, and turn it into something people feel.

Not a bad way to spend the day.

A lot of this job is small stuff. It's a lot of adjusting, tweaking, fixing something that’s off by just enough to bother you. And no one claps for that part. No one even sees it.

But we could never make something big without paying attention to what's small.

Trust me, we’ve had plenty of chances to call something “good enough”, wrap early, ship it, and move on.

But man, we just can't do it. Because that last 10% you really have to fight for? That’s where everything changes.

A lot of what we do isn’t glamorous. It’s a lot of small adjustments and quick decisions. But in a 12+ hour shoot day, when you stack enough of those moments together... it suddenly feels like something.

That’s the work.

Can’t really explain it. But we know it when it shows up.

There’s always this moment before things kick off. It's not always perceptible it's just... everyone getting into it.

We're checking the camera for the third time, someone else is pretending they’re not stressed, another says, “Alright, let’s go,” like it’s casual.

Man. It’s never casual.

But that moment right before? That energy never fails to light us up.
