Just got off a call with a client and realized, yes, my job really is about splitting hairs.

Because “fine” and “finished” are not the same thing.

Sometimes it’s a mortar color…or a sightline…or simply knowing enough to move something a few inches to the left.

And usually, that’s the thing.

Monday Check In… There’s a moment in every project where it shifts. Not finished. Not styled. Not ready….but grounded.

Materials start speaking to each other. The palette settles in. Decisions stop feeling like decisions… and start feeling inevitable.

This one’s getting there.

Less about what it looks like right now — more about what it’s becoming.

Let’s call it California Modern with a little mountain air. 💚

It’s about not ignoring what’s going on outside but incorporating those elements as part of the design so the result is one big batch of beautiful indoor/outdoor living.

I don’t think it’s a coincidence that I’ve got daybeds on the brain AND it’s Friday afternoon...

It’s all about the details, right? And not that we need reminding, but how about a couple of examples from one of my favorite projects last year...nooks and crannies where we created a , made it special, and gave the client all the things she never even knew she needed. 😘
