Oil can only do so much on its own.

If your locs are feeling dry, your first instinct might be to reach for oil. But before you do, ask yourself: have I actually hydrated my locs?

💧 Hydration starts with water.
Water helps your locs maintain elasticity and flexibility.

🫧 Moisture is about helping that moisture stick around. Water-based products, such as leave-in conditioners, can add hydration, while oils and pomades can help slow water loss.

So if your locs are dry, start with water. Then if your hair needs it, lightly seal with an oil.

&& remember: your locs don’t need the same routine as everybody else’s. Pay attention to how your hair responds.

Sometimes the answer isn’t another product. It’s understanding what your locs are asking for. 🌱
