Canadian Pacific 2816 heads east through Canmore, Alberta on a two day Historic Transport Preservation photo charter in May of 2006. One of the few if not the only steam photo charter operated on the mainline of a Class 1 railroad.

Soo 1003 hustles through Waupun, Wisconsin on a Historic Transport Preservation photo charter in October of 2010.

So many of us are missing a friend today. Maybe you've known him a long time, maybe you only met him recently. I (John) am of the belief that Jim Wrinn never met a stranger, and I'm confident my fellow HTPers would agree.

We have photos of Jim at several past HTP events, but a photo from an event with a Southern Railway locomotive (at the Three Rivers Rambler in 2011) seems most appropriate.

Please keep Cate Kratville-Wrinn in your thoughts, and as we work out how best to celebrate Jim's life soon.
