Arbor Obstetrics and Gynecology We offer a small practice, patient-forward experience through all stages of a woman's life

Our provider spotlight for November is Dr. Joan Han, who has been with us for over a year and has been a wonderful addition to our Arbor team!

Dr. Han sees women in all stages of life, but specializes in GYN surgical excellence and was the recipient of two different Minimally Invasive Surgery Awards in 2023 and 2024 (the AAGL Excellence and SLS Outstanding Resident, respectively) and has pursued advanced training in robotic and laparoscopic surgery focusing on treatment for heavy or painful periods.

When Dr. Han is not at work, she loves spending time with her adorable dog, her husband, and hiking!

One of our MAs, Cynthia, had a baby!! We are obsessed with this little nugget and always thrilled when they drop by for a visit 💖 Welcome to the Arbor / Haven family, baby!

September is Ovarian Cancer Awareness Month. Many people are unaware that ovarian cancer is the deadliest of all gynecological cancers, making education and awareness so important. Because there is no effective early screening test for ovarian cancer, it is crucial to know the signs and symptoms which can include bloating, pelvic or abdominal pain, trouble eating/feeling full quickly/loss of appetite, and urinary frequency.

In March, some of our providers and staff had the privilege of attending the Georgia Ovarian Cancer Alliance Gala. The money raised through this event aids in providing research, treatment, and support to better the outcomes for patients. We care deeply about this cause!
