My Christmas cactus and Thanksgiving cactus have their calendars mixed up. They're blooming in February. Do you know the difference between the two? I didn't until a few yrs ago. A Thanksgiving cactus has pointed edges on their stems. A Christmas cactus has more rounded edges, and an Easter cactus has almost no rounded edges. Well, all my extensive research (a quick Google search) tells me. LOL

It's Hay Day!! We're blessed to live in a climate and have the land that we don't have to supplement the cows but a couple times a yr. However, when we do, boy, do they ever love it. It's like Christmas for cows.

Look at how much my plants have grown over the last 3 days! I was so enthralled with their growth that I forgot to put my coffee cup under the Keurig and had coffee all over the counter.

I'm trying hydroponic growing. I'm using a hydroponic garden system called iDOO. I got it for a super good black Friday deal or something a couple of yrs ago and had been intimidated to use it until now. We'll see. Maybe I'll have some beautiful Bibb lettuce in several weeks.

I offered to put strawberry jam on my son's biscuit the other morning. By the look on his face, you would have thought I had offered him BBQ sauce or something totally outlandish. I talked him into trying it on a little leftover dough biscuit. He did ask for one more, so I think I may have convinced him it wasn't poison. Is there anything crazy you put on your biscuit?

It was time to refill the salt feeder. Cows love their salt! Our partially white faced girl is Demi, born in March of 2020. Guess how she got her name!

When your dog's pups go to their new families, you don't stop caring for or loving them. We learned today that Cooper, one of Poppy's boys, died this week. He was 2 1/2 yrs old. 💔 He was well loved and will be forever missed like our boy, Green Bean. Gosh, they have our hearts, and it's devastating when they're gone.

My daughter made Amish white bread this week. She really wants to learn to make different breads. What should she try next? BTW, I love the cast iron loaf pans.

"The beauty of winter flowers lies not just in their petals, but in the strength it takes for them to bloom." I'm thankful for a friend who shares her camelia blooms with me each winter. It's so beautiful. So far, only one of my orchids has bloomed, but it sure is beautiful too.

Our girls and our boy, Charlie 💙, love to head to this side of the house as soon as they are let out to free range because of my bird feeders. They love all the sunflower seeds the birds throw out of the feeders. Birds waste a lot of seeds, so it's nice to have a clean-up crew.
