Meet Maureen, one of our dedicated Bagel Rescue volunteers, enjoying a sunny escape in Dewey Beach, Delaware! 🏖 Even while soaking up the salt air, she’s proudly sporting her Bagel Rescue tote, carrying our mission of combating food waste and food insecurity wherever she goes.

What an incredible display of service this summer from YMSL Brookhaven, YMSL Buckhead, and YMSL North Atlanta teams. These service-minded teens and their moms showed up in force to package and deliver bagels weekly throughout the city. Their dedication was vital to our summer feeding programs, and we are deeply grateful for their year-round support as well.

Thanks to Jewish Federation of Greater Atlanta for creating space and opportunity to network with organizations doing amazing work in Atlanta. Our Chief Rescue Officer recently spent time collaborating with fellow Ecosystem leaders including Backpack Buddies of Metro Atlanta, The Sandwich Project, Repair the World Atlanta, Yad L'Yad, and JAccess. We are proud to be part of this incredible cohort and are grateful for The Jewish Federation of Greater Atlanta for powering our Tikkun Olam programming.

We're excited to welcome this year's 2026/2027 Bagel Rescue Teen Board!

Along with getting a behind-the-scenes glimpse at how a nonprofit operates, our Teen Board members will assist our organization by managing their own weekly rescue routes, providing help at our interactive workshops, supporting our fundraising efforts, and sharing their own marketing campaign.

Bagel Rescue was honored to be invited to a community luncheon alongside other local nonprofits that partner closely with Chamblee First United Methodist Church. In addition to hosting occasional packaging projects for us, Chamblee UMC maintains two freezers that are absolutely critical to our ability to rescue and safely store surplus food.

The luncheon brought together Chamblee UMC’s nonprofit partners to explore ways we can collaborate, strengthen our relationships, and better support one another. It was a wonderful opportunity to build community and discover new possibilities for partnership.

A special thank you to George and the incredible staff and leaders at Chamblee UMC for their continued support, generosity, and partnership. We are grateful to be part of such a caring and collaborative community! 💙🫶

With the music pumping and everyone working together, the team at Domain Capital Group connected over a good cause on Wednesday. Together, they packaged over 7,000 bagels for neighbors in need. WOW!
