Last month, members of South Fulton Fire Rescue participated in active shooter response training designed to strengthen preparedness, communication, and coordination during high-risk emergency incidents.
Crews worked through realistic scenarios focused on operating as a team, providing emergency medical care, and safely moving patients from the scene.
Training like this helps ensure our teams are prepared to respond effectively when every second counts.

Yesterday, members of South Fulton Fire Rescue proudly wore our commemorative 9/11 shirts in recognition of the 25th anniversary of September 11, 2001.
More than a uniform or a shirt, it was a visible reminder of the lives lost, the first responders who made the ultimate sacrifice, and the legacy of courage and service they left behind.
We remember. We honor. We will never forget. 🚒🇺🇸

Members of South Fulton Fire Rescue recently joined more than 1,000 firefighters from across the country and around the world at Truist Park for the 5th Annual Patriot Day 9/11 Memorial Stair Climb.
The event honored the 343 FDNY firefighters who lost their lives on September 11, 2001, with participants climbing the equivalent of all 110 floors of the World Trade Center towers. The physical challenge offers participants a small glimpse into the extraordinary effort those firefighters endured as they climbed the towers to help others while thousands of people worked to escape.
Representing South Fulton Fire Rescue were Assistant Fire Chief Jeff Moss, Lt. Kenneth Perea, Lt. Matthew Maxwell, Lt. Keith Tinsley, and recruits Vanessa Talley, Damion Wynter, Andre Smith and Khalil Burston. Together, they climbed for more than an hour alongside firefighters who traveled from across the United States, as well as the United Kingdom and Ireland, united by one common purpose: to remember and never forget.
South Fulton Fire Rescue proudly commends our members and all those who participated in this meaningful day of remembrance.
Twenty-five years later, we remember the lives that were lost and the families whose lives were changed forever.
On September 11, 2001, thousands of people left home that morning expecting to return to the people they loved. They never made it home.
Today, we honor every life lost, every family who continues to carry that loss, and the countless people whose courage and compassion helped others in the moments that followed.
We remember. We honor. We will never forget. 🇺🇸

On this 25th anniversary of September 11, South Fulton Fire Rescue honors the firefighters, law enforcement officers, EMS personnel, civilians, and countless others whose lives were lost or forever changed by the events of that day.
For those of us who serve, their courage remains a lasting reminder of what it means to answer the call.
25 years later, we remember their names. We honor their sacrifice. We carry their legacy.

🩺 Taking care of those who take care of our community.
This week, South Fulton Fire Rescue personnel completed Phase 1 of their annual physical examinations, an important part of helping our firefighters stay healthy, prepared, and ready to serve.
The demands of the fire service require both physical and mental readiness, and routine health screenings play an important role in identifying potential concerns early and supporting the long-term wellness of our personnel.
Because being ready to answer the call starts with taking care of yourself. 🚒💪🏾
