An honor to speak to the Medical Association of Georgia (MAG) today to discuss about healthcare legislation. I have been a champion for tort reform since first elected to office and I will always be in the fight for medical malpractice reform.

Congratulations to the Student Leadership NORTH Secretary of State Ambassadors on once again winning the Georgia Secretary of State Ambassador State Championship! This incredible team dominated the competition, finishing more than 150,000 points ahead of the second-place team — a true reflection of their dedication, civic engagement, and leadership throughout the year.

These outstanding student leaders didn’t just participate in their communities — they helped shape them. Their commitment to service, leadership, and civic responsibility is inspiring, and their legacy will continue far beyond this program year.

Big news for Georgia’s independent workforce. HB 987, the “Voluntary Portable Benefit Plan Act”, has officially been signed into law by Governor Brian Kemp

This legislation helps create more flexibility and access to voluntary benefits for independent contractors while preserving their independent status.

A strong step forward for Georgia workers and innovation!

It's official! Governor Brian Kemp has signed and the bell-to-bell ban on personal electronic devices at all Georgia highschools will start for the 27-28 school year. The law expands on an existing ban that already applied to students in grades K-8 and Georgia is the 27th state to accept this policy.

Appreciate the kind words and the invitation! It was a privilege to spend time with such an impressive group of young leaders. Their questions, energy, and commitment to making a difference should give all of us confidence in Georgia’s future.

I’m grateful for your leadership in creating opportunities like the Congressional Youth Council, and proud to support efforts that invest in the next generation. Looking forward to staying engaged and seeing all they accomplish!

Great having Georgia State Senator Shawn Still join our Congressional Youth Council as a guest speaker.

A small business owner and now Majority Caucus Chairman in the Georgia Senate, Shawn brings real-world leadership to the Gold Dome, employing over 100 Georgians and delivering results from day one.

Proud to call him a longtime friend and thankful he took the time to speak with these young leaders.
