“Focus” - still in progress.

I’ve been experimenting with a new approach lately, blending abstraction with realism. I’m pushing contrast, pulling the viewer into the focal point, and letting the rest of the piece breathe through softer brushwork and blurred transitions. Sharp where it matters, expressive everywhere else.

Originally, I planned to add a lot of gold to this one, but honestly, it already feels complete. The simplicity of the black and white seems to carry its own light. What do you think? Keep it raw and monochrome, or bring in a touch of gold?

It’s been a while since I’ve shared here, I’ve been deep in the studio, experimenting, exploring, and developing new collections 💫

Lately, I’ve been drawn to the balance between abstraction and realism, keeping the hyper-realistic focal points I’m known for while letting the brushstrokes breathe and tell part of the story.

This horse piece is still in progress on the largest canvas I could fit in my vehicle, and I’m not entirely sure where it’s headed yet, but that’s the beauty of it. It’s about the process, not perfection.

Proud to be part of ’s “Locals Only” show, featuring over 80 incredible Atlanta artists. I created this piece in honor of Zoo Atlanta—a place near and dear to me for its deep commitment to wildlife conservation and protecting endangered species. 🦁

From now until August 9, 25% of all sales of my artwork will go directly to my fundraiser, Defend - a cause with focused on saving endangered species in Africa and protecting one of the last natural national parks on the continent.
