Agile Development and a Kanban Board has helped organize my processes. Making a working prototype knife and bringing that product to market is a massive amount of work with a surprising number of steps and decisions. Each week or “sprint”, I go to the board and brain dump the tasks that I think I’ll need to complete the sprint goal and add these in the “ready” section. I only let myself work on one or two sticky notes at a time from the “working” section. At the end of it, I move all completed tasks to “finished”. The stack you see here is all finished tasks from all sprints to date. ✅

Did you know RBC is a one man operation? Jacob goes by many titles… Founder, Owner, Craftsman, Machinist, and Engineer. Every step of the process of creating a knife is executed by this guy right here. That was always the goal of this company: to make a pocket knives for people like Jacob by Jacob.

My first Blade Show was a great experience! Thank you to everyone I had a chance to talk with and learn from! Look for me next year at a table 👍🏻

My first attempt at milling a blade out of steel (S35VN) could have gone better, but it could have gone worse! I’m embracing the “fail fast, fail cheap” mentality 😎

In honor of national knife day I thought I would post my current EDC lineup. Ultratech (top) Foray (mid) and Feist (bot) are all amazing knives that I love use whenever I get the chance! What’s your favorite EDC?

I received the biggest package of my life last week (notice how it dwarfs a full grown Ridgeback) and after a few late nights and a lot of help from good friends, I finally have my 770MX up and running! Now to learn how to use it 😁 @ Chattanooga, Tennessee
