We had such a wonderful time continuing the long‑standing tradition of our 5th Grade and Senior Walk. It was truly special to welcome our former Mariners back into the halls and even more meaningful to see them reconnect with the teachers who helped shape their journey from the very beginning.
There’s something incredibly powerful about watching wide‑eyed 5th graders look up to graduating seniors—seeing both where they are now and where they’re headed next. In that moment, the full circle of education comes to life.
We wish both of our graduating classes the absolute best as they step into their next chapter. Once a Mariner, always a Mariner!

What an incredible final week it has been—filled with important milestones, joyful celebrations, and unforgettable memories!
We are so proud of each and every Mariner and the tremendous growth they’ve made this year. Every one of you played a unique role in making this school year one of the best yet!
We hope everyone has a safe, relaxing, and fun-filled summer. We love you, and it’s not goodbye—just see you later. We can’t wait to see you in August!

5 Star Dining!
Our students recently enjoyed a truly special reward after participating in the 5 Star Dining Challenge! By demonstrating positive SAIL behaviors, winning classes earned a one-of-a-kind “5 Star” lunch experience. The cafeteria stage was transformed with elegant décor and fancy dinnerware, creating a memorable atmosphere. Our amazing counselors provided top-notch service, making every student feel like a VIP. From start to finish, the students were all smiles—it was a well-deserved celebration they absolutely loved!

Happy National School Speech-Language Pathologists Day! We are so grateful for our amazing SLPs who support our students’ communication, confidence, and success every day. Your impact is truly priceless—thank you to Bridget Cress, Alison Hall, Stephanie Neal, and Lauren Williams for all you do for our Matt Elementary family! We appreciate you!

Back to Field Day Recap!
Last Friday, students enjoyed a fantastic Back to Field Day with beautiful weather, big smiles, and lots of laughter. From bubbles and water slides to tug of war, water relays, sack races, and more, students had an awesome time outside celebrating and playing with friends.

We are excited to invite FCS graduating seniors back to Matt Elementary School for our annual Fifth Grade and Senior Walk on May 22.

Celebrating ALL the Amazing Moms out there!
Our Kindergarten classes shared an early Mother’s Day celebration filled with love!
The students delighted everyone with a sweet performance, singing two special songs, and created handmade gifts to honor the incredible moms in their lives.
We are so proud of our Kindergarten students for such a lovely celebration and appreciate all the love and support our families show—today and every day. Thank you to our spectacular KK Team for putting this special day together!

Our 3rd graders and teachers lit up the classroom while celebrating the completion of testing with a fun-filled Glow Day! Students explored inquiry-based glow activities and hands-on experiments that connected learning across their curriculum. The glowing work, bright materials, and focused collaboration made this celebration extra special. Way to shine, 3rd grade!
