In my hand rests a single SD card, yet it feels heavier than usual today. On it, two folders sit side-by-side:

One holds the final, tear-filled smiles of a family honoring a life well-lived.
The other holds the first, quiet moments of a "Fresh 48" session.

It is a humbling reminder of why I do what I do & why it is so very important. More than just a hobby, more than just a job.
Photography is the bridge between the hellos and the goodbyes—capturing all our moments in between the two.. Your life.. Your story..

Being invited into these sacred spaces—the memorial and the hospital room—is a responsibility I don't take lightly. It’s a reminder that every moment is a miracle worth preserving. From the first breath to the final farewell, & every moment in between the two … These are the stories that matter.

What I want you to know before your fresh 48 session ….

It’s not about everything being “perfect” - it’s sleepy yawns , hospital bracelets , & the quiet moments we catch before time speeds up .. oh and before that nurse walks in (again) ..

No one cares if your hair isn’t perfect , the room looks like you’ve been there for days (hello, you have) , this isnt about aesthetic but your connection.
I’m not waiting for smiles, just simply ready to capture your love.

You’ll forget how this felt- the sounds, the smells, the support from the staff… These photos help you remember that.

This is the only time your baby will be this new-
The wrinkles, baby acne, how they curl into you..
Babies change so fast, day by day, even by the hour.
