The Tucker and Smoke Rise numbers were incredible for us, by about a 3:1 margin, and we came in 2nd in DeKalb county.

I will stay involved and active in the community, as will my boys, just like the last go-round. An election doesn’t change that. This is exactly the type of garbage legislation that I will fight against in the GA Senate, and why I was recruited by Senators whom I respect and admire to run for the open seat in District 55. Georgia’s Senate is a launchpad for culture war legislation Democratic state Rep. Omari Crawford seemed like a deer in headlights when his suicide-prevention measure was swiftly rewritten by Lt. Gov. Burt Jones and Senate Republicans to become a grab bag of culture war measures.

Our esteemed Senator Gloria Butler is retiring, and I have been asked by several Georgia Senators whom I respect and admire to run for Senate District 55. I enter this race with a groundswell of support from the community as well as leaders and advocates throughout District 55. Most importantly, I have the support of my boys 👨‍👦‍👦💙

Bottom line: I CAN win this race!

The district lines have been redrawn and are favorable for me. District 55 incldues most of Tucker (Senator Kim Jackson was drawn out of our district) --I have strong name ID from running a close campaign for Mayor in 2021. While there are several candidates in this race, my most formidable “Democratic” opponent has been making egregiously homophobic and transphobic comments on the campaign trail--that type of harmful thinking that won't fly with democrats in District 55.

We cannot afford to let Senator Butler be succeeded by that type of thinking, especially in this particular moment as a litany of culure war bills are currently pending before the Georgia legislature.

We have 57 short days to get this done. Right now, I am better positioned than any of my primary challengers to win, but I can't win without help from friends.

Georgians - if you haven’t filled up on gas yet I strongly encourage you to do so by midnight tomorrow 11/29, when our gas tax suspension ends.

Tucker voters - In full disclosure, I offered to meet with all city council candidates “kitchen table style” to discuss what worked on my campaign and what didn’t, and invited them to use my 20+ years expertise in commercial real estate consulting to tackle any questions they had about challenges (and opportunities) the city has development / growth-wise.

Several took me up on it, some didn’t or haven’t yet, but every single one of them had the same offer, even the right-wingers 😜. The offer is still open though.
