Loud South
creative and corporate video production
Brother Jay Kirkland is out here trying to make Hall County, and the state of Georgia a little bit better. From the swamp to the mountains, we sure do love it here. If you live up in Gainesville or some such area, get out there and vote him into office.

I’ve tried a whole lotta things. Even produced a sweet lil evening of live music a few years back. My long time pal Jay Kirkland opened up the night at Tin Roof and closed it down. Now ol buddy Jay is running for State Rep up in Hall County. I’m about as proud as I can be.
Every time I get that tingling idea feeling buzzing in my ol noggin, there’s a list of co-conspirators that I rely on. John Traylor is always on that list. Me and John used to work together in the wild world of high-intensity yoga production, so we’re bonded deeply through sweat and tank tops. He’s turned many a camera toward projects I’ve schemed up. He even took his shirt off and wrassled a dude on camera when the Alliance Theatre produce one of our short films. And he’s one helluva boatsman. Just try and keep up with him in a paddle board. JT came out at 6am and we sat in the cold by the interstate and Chattahoochee. We talked about the Okefenokee. We laughed loudly talking about the love life of Alligators.
When you start trying to tell a story about a place with a 912 area code, you reach out to Cecil Tanner. This dude is a South Georgia legend plain and simple. When I hollered at him and asked if he wanted to wade into the swampy waters with me, he said what I’ve heard him say a few dozen times since - “yes”. Glad to have this young shooter guiding the whole ship as we slip down the dank alleyways of the vast and beautiful Okefenokee.
gave us these real swirly tunes
Mad Dog Manders aka Mr. Breeze aka The Danger Ranger aka my no good, drifter of a little brother Luke weighs in on how important the Swamp is to the people. People like him. And me. I trust his insight and the way he tells it. After all, he did mess around and get himself a Masters of Public History before plunging into the world of Public Lands. He’s even got one of those Yogi Bear type hats. Anyhow, we’re starting to put the pieces together. Call your local bait shop and demand more Okefenokee Documentary Filmmaking with The Manders Brothers.
The very last Loud South Production you’ll ever see with your two eyes. This is it buddy boy. After this, it’ll never happen again so it better be good. It’s moving slow. Slow like the blackwater. Deliberate. Then all of a sudden frantic and with much excitement. It’s about the part of the world that built me. It’s about the people. Let’s get this Okefenokee storytelling cookin baby! Holler at me

This is former Mayor Sam Massell. I got to interview him a few years ago for the Atlanta History Center’s Swan House Ball. It’s always been a pleasure hearing how our city has grown and changed.
