My peom "Am I Rally Human Anymore "
I wrote this poem because I feel that we live in a world that is losing its compassion. As human beings, we are living through a tragedy of our own creation, often consumed by ego and separated from one another. Society has become focused on self-interest, status, and division, causing many of us to live within an illusion of who we truly are.
I believe our true nature is love. Love is the light source that was created for us. It is a guiding force that connects us all. Yet many have lost sight of that light, choosing fear, judgment, and selfishness instead. This poem reflects my belief that humanity must rediscover compassion, reconnect with love, and remember the light that exists within each of us.
In reality through any darkness shines a light and, we know who we are.....
"Am I Really Human Anymore"
Am I really human anymore,
Or just a shadow of before?
A heart that beats, yet feels the strain,
Carrying memories, loss, and pain.
I've worn the scars that life can leave,
Held on through moments hard to believe.
I've stood through storms, I've faced the fire,
Yet still I search for something higher.
If being human means to feel,
To question what is false or real,
To love, to hope, to break, to mend,
Then maybe this is not the end.
For even when the road is long,
And I forget where I belong,
The very fact I ask this question through
Reminds me that my heart is true.
So if I wonder anymore
Who I am beneath the war,
The answer whispers, soft and clear.
I am that I am.
A reflection of the Divine,
Both human and spirit intertwined.
This flesh may walk the earth today,
Yet spirit lights the hidden way.
For if I am spirit, then humanity's plan
Is but a twilight in a greater plan
A passing dawn, a sacred flame,
Returning to the Source from which it came.
