💖🎾 Bestie Iva Jovic has earned the biggest win of her young career!
The 18-year-old American sensation, Iva Jovic, stunned World No. 5 Amanda Anisimova with a hard-fought 6-2, 3-6, 6-3 victory to advance to the semifinals of the HSBC Championships in London.
With the win, Jovic moves on to face the winner of the quarterfinal match between Emma Raducanu and Kamilla Rakhimova for a place in the final.
This marks Jovic’s second WTA 500 semifinal appearance and her fourth semifinal run of the 2026 season. Her breakout year began with a semifinal finish at the ASB Classic in New Zealand, followed by a runner-up finish at the Hobart International and an impressive quarterfinal appearance at the Australian Open.
She carried that momentum into the clay season, reaching the semifinals of the Credit One Charleston Open before adding another milestone this week with a place in the final four at Queen’s Club.
🙏💗 God bless Iva in tomorrow’s semifinal! Wishing her the very best and praying she earns a well-deserved spot in the final.

Although Alex Eala began competing on the ITF Junior Circuit at a very young age, she officially transitioned to the women’s ITF Circuit in 2020 at age 15.
Like most players beginning their professional journey, she started at the W15 level—events designed for emerging players seeking their first WTA ranking points.
By the end of 2020, she had earned enough points to enter the WTA rankings, finishing the year at World No. 1,183.
In 2021, at age 16, she opened the season by winning the W15 Mallorca title and added two quarterfinal finishes at other W15 events. These results boosted her ranking to World No. 903 by February. With that progress, she transitioned into W25 tournaments and ended 2021 ranked No. 529.
At age 17 in 2022, her schedule expanded into W25, W60, and W80 events. She captured a title in Thailand and reached multiple semifinals and finals, finishing the year ranked World No. 219.
From 2022 through her breakthrough run at the Miami Open in 2025, she primarily competed in W25, W40, W60, and W80 events, with occasional WTA 250 and WTA 1000 appearances through wildcard entries.
Everything changed after her standout Miami Open campaign in 2025, when her ranking surged to World No. 72. That leap allowed her to focus more on higher-tier events such as WTA 125, WTA 250, WTA 500, and qualifying draws at WTA 1000 tournaments.
In the current phase of her career, she has increasingly centered her schedule on WTA 500 and WTA 1000-level competition, with only limited appearances at WTA 250 events. Her WTA 125 entries have typically been scheduled during Grand Slam “second weeks,” when higher-tier events are not available—maximizing both match play and ranking opportunities.
Latest Result (Most Recent Update)
In her most recent tour updates during the 2026 season, she has continued competing primarily at the WTA 500 and WTA 1000 level, facing consistently higher-ranked opposition as part of her development strategy. Her results reflect a transition phase focused more on experience-building at elite events rather than lower-tier title runs.
This approach appears to prioritize long-term growth over short-term accumulation of WTA 125 or WTA 250 titles.
For now, the key question remains whether her team will maintain this high-level scheduling strategy through the rest of the season or adjust it after Wimbledon to include more mid-tier tournaments for balance and momentum.
Every professional tennis journey is carefully mapped, and while fans may prefer more frequent title opportunities at lower levels, her current path clearly emphasizes exposure to elite competition and adaptation to top-tier intensity.
Ariba Alex 💪

🚨 BREAKING NEWS! 🇵🇭🎾
Filipina tennis sensation Alex Eala has officially received a wildcard entry into next week’s Berlin Tennis Open in Germany, earning a direct spot in the tournament’s main draw.
The wildcard means Eala will bypass the grueling qualifying rounds and immediately join one of the strongest fields of the season. The prestigious WTA 500 event is expected to feature nine of the world’s current Top 10 players, making it one of the toughest tournaments outside the Grand Slams.
Only the top 17 entrants gained automatic main-draw berths based on ranking, while many highly ranked stars must fight through qualifying. Among those expected to battle for a place in the main draw are Diana Shnaider, Elise Mertens, Anastasia Potapova, Wang Xinyu, Katerina Siniakova, and former US Open champion Emma Raducanu.
Fresh off her recent success on grass, Eala’s wildcard selection is another major vote of confidence from tournament organizers and a testament to her rapidly growing reputation on the WTA Tour. It also gives the young Filipina another golden opportunity to measure herself against the very best players in the world as she continues her rise toward the sport’s elite ranks.
