👀 Stepping in to protect someone you love takes courage. But how you step in can be the difference between de-escalating a situation and becoming part of it.

📝 Two things could have changed the outcome here. Verbal de-escalation before physical proximity which closes the distance too fast and can escalate tension instead of calming it. And positioning instead of confrontation the aggressor head on create distance and a barrier between your friend and the aggressor without engaging him directly. This can interrupt the conflict without turning it into a second one.

❤️ Protecting the people you love isn’t about instinct alone. It’s about training that instinct to work for you, not against you.

This is exactly the kind of real-world scenario we break down inside ShieldHer. You learn how to read a moment, when to step in, and how to do it safely.

Nobody Knew What I Was Carrying. 🎙️

Everyone sees the title. Few know the testimony behind it.

I’m honored to launch a new podcast series with Dante Harmon, where we go beyond the resume and talk about faith, the resilience, and the purpose that built everything I stand for today.

We talk about bridging the gap between the community and law enforcement, walking through healing and hope, and building real opportunity through empowerment, entrepreneurship, and ministry.

This series isn’t just conversation it’s a testimony of transformation, and an invitation for others to find their own purpose.

New episodes drop every other day. Episode 1 is live now — I’d love for you to join the journey.

"Go where you are Celebrated, not Tolerated.”

🥂 Recap of my birthday celebration it stills moves me the same way it did that night. Every hug, every laugh, every “I’m so proud of you” that was real. That was love with no strings attached.

At this stage of my life, I’m not chasing anymore. Not chasing approval, not chasing people who want me to shrink, not chasing genuine relationships if it meant to be it will show up.

I’ve learned to pour into the relationships that pour back into me the friends and family who show up, who celebrate my wins like they’re their own, who love me out loud.

People showed up to celebrate me and grateful for them being in my corner and I am so blessed to say the room was FULL that night.

If you take anything from this season of my life, let it be this: surround yourself with people who celebrate you. Life is too precious to settle for anything less.

It happened so fast watch how quickly danger found this lady. It was being recorded 🎥

A stranger’s quick thinking gave this woman the seconds she needed to get away. But safety isn’t just about who happens to be standing nearby it’s about "YOU" knowing what to do in that moment.

If this stranger had not helped her, two things could have changed the trajectory of the outcome: creating distance early, and using her voice with purpose. Small actions. Real Impact.

This is exactly what situational awareness looks like in real life. Not fear, but, preparation. Not panic, but, power.

Want the full blueprint of what to do even when help isn’t standing right next to you? That’s exactly what we teach inside 🛡️ ShieldHer.

Throwback Post. 🎥✨

🙏🏽 Before it was Kenyatta McKinnon Ministries, it was "Hustle for God." Different name, same fire and same hustle. 🔥

🌎 Initially I chose Hustle For God as a point of reference meaning that we hustle for money, jobs, careers, and for our family so the idea was to also take that same energy and hustle for the God that created you and me.

Then God had me to pivot and start taking my gift seriously and said give it a formal name which Birth Kenyatta McKinnon Ministries. I begin to minister ant different churches and praying for people all over the world.

I was doing midnight prayers, teachings, and prayer calls. I have been fortunate enough to have traveled to Pakistan, Ghana, and Nigeria among other place out of the country, but, these were the main places I did ministry.

Even then, God was building me as a kingdom leader to edify his church which is his (bride). God was and is still calling us to rise up it's revival time. He is coming soon. I will share my testimony at another time. Listen I did not know how far God was taking me. Never in a million years would I have thought that I would be called into ministry.

I want to encourage you and remind you: Don't ever despise small beginnings. What you’re planting right now in obedience is what God will multiply later. Start where you are. He will meet you at your point of need and trust me release it to him and he will do the rest.

She was in the water. He wasn't. And that's exactly the problem.

A recent viral moment showed a man rushing towards a woman while she was in the ocean, distracted, relaxed, enjoying her day the way beach days are supposed to feel. Thankfully, people nearby stepped in to help her. That intervention mattered it's called "unknown community". It's a reminder that bystanders can change the outcome of a moment like this.

But it also raises a question we ask a lot at ShieldHer...what can we do, proactively, before someone ever gets that close?

A few things to keep in your back pocket for beach days, pool days, any open public space:

🌊 Water = a blind spot. Waves, current, and the sound of the ocean reduce your ability to hear someone approaching. Glance toward shore periodically don't stay facing the ocean the whole time.

👀 Scan and look before you settle. When you set up your spot, take 10 seconds to notice who's around you. Awareness isn't paranoia it's a habit, like checking your mirrors before you drive.

👯‍♀️The Buddy system, having someone with you or you can check in with a trusted person who knows where you are periodically through out the day this changes the entire safety equation.

📢 Practice your voice. A loud, direct "BACK UP" or "STOP" draws attention fast and interrupts an approach before contact is made. Rehearsing it makes it come out naturally under stress.

🙌 Be the bystander too. If you see something that doesn't sit right, trust that instinct and say something. Ladies it's okay to ask a woman "Hey, are you ok?" it is simple, low-risk and a way to help someone before it escalates.

Safety isn't about living scared. It's about building small habits over time so you can relax more, not less because you know what to do if your environment shifts from "safe to "unsafe"

That's the whole idea behind ShieldHer. 💛 value your safety and take action today DM to join our women safety community.

🛡️ Multiple slapes by an 15 year old and as a result multiple lives destroyed. Truly tragic America Williams slapped a mother who stepped in to stop a fight. That same night she was shot and k***** at a gas station.

The shooter was charged with first degree murder. Sentenced to 20 years. Ordered to pay $500,000 to the family. The Williams family they are suing for two million dollars in damages.

De-escalation sometimes includes putting distance between you and an attacker. One of the things that could have been done is the mother being attacked could have quickly went back inside and closed the door.

Walking away is not weakness it's survival.
Here is what I need every woman and every mother watching this to know: Teach your children that every person should be respected and if a disagreement arrives and it turns physical you have two options walk away if you can but if it's a matter of life and death then you need defend yourself.

If you need to learn safety as a woman in any real life scenario then ShieldHer is the place for you. Join today

Shall We Pray 🙏🏽

Father, silence every distraction assigned to steal our focus and delay our destiny. Let clarity fall, let purpose rise, and let every noise bow to your voice. have placed on our lives. Let clarity fall like fire, burning away confusion, noise, and every counterfeit voice competing for our attention. We decree and declare that eyes will be open, hearts will be anchored, and purpose will rise above every distraction sent to derail it. We silence the noise and amplify the voice of God in Jesus name we pray Amen.
