Emory students win Amazon’s Alexa Prize for artificial intelligence ‘social companion’ A team of Emory students won Amazon’s 2020 Alexa Prize, a global competition to create the most engaging chatbot to advance the field of artificial intelligence. The team earned $500,000 for taking first place with their chatbot named Emora.

Our team Emora has won the Alexa Prize 2020. Our final average rating was 3.81 compared to 3.17 and 3.14 achieved by the 2nd and 3rd-place winners, Stanford University and Czech Technical University, respectively. This prize comes with a $500,000 cash award. All credits are due to the students who have put an incredible amount of efforts to make this accomplishment:
