If you feel stuck in a pattern, you may be repeating old strategies in new contexts.

Hi, I’m Dr. Mahkada Taylor, a psychologist and the creator of the Relational Repatterning™ Method.
One question sits at the center of my work: Why do we keep getting stuck in the same patterns, and what does it actually take to change them?
I help people recognize, understand, and transform recurring patterns in their relationships, families, work, and within themselves.
I’m not outside of this work. I recognize myself in it, too. It also just so happens that I’m sharing this first post shortly after my birthday.
There’s something fitting about that. A new year of my life, a new chapter in my work, and an opportunity to interrupt one of my own patterns by allowing myself to be more visible.
Since you’ll be seeing more of me, here’s a little about me: I love a great conversation, a good party, beautiful spaces, 90s and 2000s hip hop, soca music, naps, spa days, and traveling whenever I can.
Here, I’ll share ideas about what creates and maintains recurring patterns, and what it takes to change them.
Understanding the pattern is important.
Transforming it is the goal.
