Sometimes being a maintenance tech ain’t just fixing buildings… it’s engineering solutions on the fly.
What should’ve been a quick checklist punch turned into a full investigation. Followed the sound of spraying water to a compromised water meter connection… but the story didn’t stop there.
Leak in the unit I’m in, ceiling damage from upstairs, and water already curling the ceiling downstairs. Now we’re tracing problems above, below, and right here… and somehow the garbage disposal is missing too.
Moral of the story: In maintenance, the best techs don’t just look for problems… they listen for them.
