SouthWorks is excited to share that we are officially one month into the construction process for Lotus Grove, a large, mixed-use redevelopment project located in Doraville, Georgia, just along Buford Highway. Project Award Announcement: SouthWorks is excited to announce our first project award – Site Development Package for Lotus Grove, a mixed-use development in Doraville, GA. The project award is valued at just over $13M, and covers over 13 acres of horizontal site development along with site retaining walls and deep foundation work. The project will start in the Summer of 2022 and run through the Fall of 2023. Thank you to Lotus Grove, LLC along with Communities at Lotus, LLC for allowing SouthWorks the opportunity to work with them on this exciting project as we transfer the old Kmart site into a vibrant, new mixed-use destination consisting of multi-family housing, retail, restaurant & office spaces, a 5 story hotel, and a food hall.

SouthWorks Breaks Ground on Large Mixed-Use Development in Doraville, Georgia After Being Awarded to Take on the Project.

SouthWorks is excited to begin the construction and site work on Lotus Grove, a new mixed-use, multi-family development sitting on 16.60 acres for Insignia, LLC. On July 6th, 2022, our team broke ground on this re-development project located on Buford Highway in Doraville, GA just near Interstate 285. What once was an old Kmart building will now be turned into an urban-style development featuring 3 stories of office, retail, & restaurant space with nearly 95,000 SF, a large food hall, plus a 5 story hotel and two apartment buildings with 780 multifamily residential units combined. With a total of 722,827 SF throughout the property, there will be plenty of access to parking for visitors with two on-site parking decks, a total of 1,578 parking spaces. With a few months of site work ahead of us, construction on Lotus Grove will take place at the beginning of next year with completion anticipated in 2024.
