There’s a saying in filmmaking, the story is written four different times: first by the writer, again by the director, then breathe life into by the actors, and finally retold by the editor. That last version is the one the world actually sees.

An editor is the alchemist, the one who shapes the emotion and rhythm of the project. They are the guardians of feeling. They decide what lingers, what cuts deep, what breathes.
