Today we'll be highlighting another one of our iGniTe grads: Andrew McGraw!

Andrew is a Public Policy major who attended iGniTe during the summer of 2018 as a member of the Leadership Track. Andrew's favorite iGniTe memory includes: "staying up all night playing monopoly with my friends in our building's lounge during the 4th of July break, giving up after 8 hours, and watching the sunset together while eating breakfast (and then sleeping for 11 hours)."

Andrew's post-graduation plans include coming back to Tech to work as the Student Support Coordinator within the Ivan Allen College of Liberal Arts at Georgia Tech.

His advice to incoming students: "Enjoy college and don't rush it! This is one of the only times in your life that you’re able to live SO close to all your friends with so much adult power but so little adult responsibility. Make the most of it and fill your college experience with the random and spontaneous things like late night cookout runs or trips to new spots in the city."

Did you know our Summer Sessions team is full of superstars? 🤩

Last semester, we received the "Friend of the First-Year Seminar" award during the annual GT1000/2000 program banquet!

We are committed to doing everything we can to help first-year students during their transition to life at Georgia Tech and we can't wait to continue supporting our students inside and outside of the classroom!

Over the next few days we’ll be highlighting some of our iGniTe graduates!

First up is Sabina Maranto! Sabina is an Aerospace Engineering major who attended iGniTe during the summer of 2019 as a member of the Leadership Track. Her favorite iGniTe memory is the Leadership Ropes Course!

Sabina’s plans for graduation consist of more school! She’ll be a Masters student at Tech in the spring and she plans to continue on to earn a PhD afterwards 🎓

Her advice to incoming students: “Meet a lot of your peers and make meaningful friendships. Find study partners and really make the most out of your time at GT. There are so many opportunities just waiting for you to find them.”
