⨠A New Year, A New Breath of Hope āØ
As we step into this new year, we want to gently remind you of something sacred:
You are not behind.
You are not broken.
And you are not walking alone.
This year doesnāt require perfectionāit invites presence.
It invites healing that unfolds slowly, faithfully, and with compassion for your whole self: mind, body, and spirit.
At Brave Spaces, we believe healing happens when safety meets courage.
At Mind & Body Unwired, we honor the wisdom of the body and the God who designed it to speak, adapt, and heal.
Whatever this year holdsāgrief, growth, unanswered questions, or quiet victoriesāmay you feel Godās nearness in every step.
āTrust in the Lord with all your heart, and He will make your oaths straight.ā (Proverbs 3:5-6)
Weāre holding space for hope, restoration, and brave beginnings.
May this be the year you listen more gently to yourself, trust God more deeply, and move forward one faithful step at a time.
šļø You are welcome here.
š¤ You are seen.
šæ And there is hopeāmore than you know.

This one is close to my heart š¤
I was recently featured in Bold Journey, where I shared more about the path that led me hereāthe setbacks, the healing, the faith, and the moments that shaped both the woman and the work behind Brave Spaces.
If youāre navigating purpose, leadership, or healing while still carrying your own story, I hope this encourages you to keep going.

šæ October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month šæ
Every statistic represents a story.
Every story represents a survivor.
And every survivor carries the possibility of hope and healing.
For years, I lived in silence ā believing that brokenness was my identity. But God had another plan. My journey from fear to freedom is now part of my book, Brave Spaces: How I Overcame What Could Have Destroyed Me, a testament that healing is possible, faith is powerful, and bravery can be rebuilt one step at a time.
If you or someone you love is living in fear, know this: you are not alone. There is life beyond survival. There is strength in your story.
š Let this book be a reminder that even after the darkest nights, light finds a way through.

⨠Authenticity Over Expectation āØ
Iāve been toldādirectly and indirectlyāhow people expect me to show up. Some of those expectations were good, and some⦠not so much. For a long time, I wrestled with them. But hereās the truth: I am proud of the woman I am today. I fought hard to become her.
I am determined to keep showing up authentically, even when it doesnāt match the picture others had in mind. Living authentically means walking in courage, choosing wholeness, and refusing to shrink to fit someone elseās mold.
š” Your Task Today: Reflect on one area of your life where youāve been living under othersā expectations. What would it look like for you to take one small step toward showing up more authentically?
š Letās do this together. Because when you stand in your authentic truth, you create space for others to do the same.
And while youāre at it, help Brave Spaces Counseling continue creating brave spaces in our community by voting for us in the Best of Gwinnett Awards! You can vote once a dayāevery click matters. š

šāØ Welcome Back to School, Brave Ones! āØš
As our kids return to classrooms, lunch lines, and locker chats, we want to pause and sayāwe see you, parents, teachers, and students. This season brings new beginnings, fresh challenges, and brave opportunities for growth.
At Brave Spaces Counseling, we believe emotional wellness is just as important as academic success. Letās help our children thriveāmind, body, and soul.
For the Kids: 3 Tips to Stay Emotionally Well this School Year
š§ Encourage check-ins: Ask your child, āHow did your heart feel today?ā instead of just, āWhat did you do?ā
š Build routine: A consistent morning and evening rhythm helps their nervous system feel safe and steady.
šØ Make space for expression: Coloring, journaling, musicālet them decompress in ways that make sense for them.
For the Parents: 3 Ways to Master This School Year with Grace
š Donāt race the calendar: Itās okay if you donāt have it all together by week two. Grace grows in slow moments.
š Listen without fixing: Sometimes our kids just need to be heard, not hurried to a solution.
š Fill your own cup: You canāt pour peace into their day from an empty heart. Pause. Breathe. Pray. Hydrate.
This year, letās create brave spaces in our homes, in our schools, and in our conversations. Letās remind our kidsāand ourselvesāthat courage isnāt about having it all figured out. Itās about showing up, heart open, one day at a time.
Hereās to a brave, balanced, and beautiful school year ahead. š

If you didnāt grow up with secure, steady love learning how to feel safe with others can be confusing.
You might flinch at kindness.
Push people away before they can leave.
Or silence your needs because you were taught they were ātoo much.ā
Thatās not dysfunction. Thatās survival.
But healing is possible.
And healthy attachment doesnāt mean being perfect or never triggered it means feeling safe enough to stay, to speak, to soften.
It means knowing:
š¬ You can say what you need without fear.
š«¶ You can be held, without having to earn it.
š§ You can trust yourself to choose better this time.
If youāre working on this youāre doing something brave. Something that rewrites generations.

⨠Four years ago, I stepped into the world as a newly minted Doctorāfull of purpose, faith, and a deep desire to make a lasting impact. I prayed that I could help others heal and grow, leaving each person better than I found them.
Today, that prayer is unfolding in ways I couldnāt have imagined. šš¾ My practice is thriving, lives are being transformed, and Iām deeply grateful to walk in my calling and purpose every single day.
I love the work I do.
I honor the healing Iāve experienced.
And Iām humbled to be used by God to help others walk through their trauma with courage and hope.
This journey has been a blessingāand it's only just beginning. š«

šŖļø When Life Spirals, Spiral with Purpose š
The ramās horn doesn't spiral by accident ā every twist has meaning, every curve holds power.
Your chaos can be like that too.
Not random. Not wasted. Not meaningless.
Blessed are the spiraling. āØ
When the whirlwind hits, anchor your soul by choosing how you spiral:
1ļøā£ Stick to the plan God gave you.
Don't rewrite your calling in a storm.
2ļøā£ Peel away the extra.
Clutter canāt travel where God is taking you.
3ļøā£ Interpret your struggle accurately.
You're not finished. You're being forged.
4ļøā£ Retool for the coming season.
New battles need new weapons ā prepare wisely.
5ļøā£ Attack the problem from all angles.
Faith plus action. Prayer plus perseverance.
6ļøā£ Look for the beauty in the spiral.
(Levi Lusko - Blessed are the Spiraling)
Brokenness can birth breathtaking things.
You are not unraveling ā
You are being shaped. Strengthened. Readied.
šļø Trust the spiral. Trust the Sculptor. Keep going.
