She's hit, but she's still standing. A blow is not a defeat.

A still from our newest duet, "The Fight", taken by Primal Q***r Photography at Bogart's . It's a number about defiance, determination, perseverance, and holding out for the underdog. It hits the stage this Saturday in Atlanta at Furry Weekend Atlanta .

It's going to be a busy few months. Catch us tomorrow at Juniper's to raise some money for our friend in this incredibly difficult time for her. Then we head up to Hamilton to join the queens at Fitton Center For Creative Arts for a solo each and a classic duet. Then we head down to Atlanta for AFW, packing up two solos each AND our newest duet before we're back in Cincinnati for another Hard Candy event with Drag Racer Jane Don't! Then it's off to Vegas for Burlesque Hall of Fame Weekend before we're back in Cincinnati for one of our absolute favorite events of the year... The Official NKY Pride After Party at Hotel Covington! And then we finally get to rejoin our Columbus friends for PrideFest at District West! The house is about to be an absolute wreck of costuming for the next 2 months.

Happy Heavenly Birthday, Katie. Tonight we raise a glass for you. 💔

It's been a hard 36 hours. Our dear friend, Katie Meyer, tragically lost her battle with cancer yesterday morning. She was kind, brilliant, fun and hilarious, and was so very loved and cherished by the NKY community. Her work establishing NKY Pride Center and NKY PRIDE has forever changed the landscape in our region. Personally, she was a close friend, and we are heartbroken about her passing, and devastated for her wife. Join us 4/30 at Juniper's for a fundraising drag show and silent auction to both celebrate her life and legacy, as well as help offset medical debt and end of life expenses her darling wife is still dealing with. 💔

The NKY Pride family is incredibly devastated by the loss of our co-chair, Katie Meyer.

Katie was the incredibly tenacious, impossibly organized driving force behind so much of our work here at the Northern Kentucky Pride Center. She didn’t just believe in making Northern Kentucky a safer, more inclusive, and vibrant place for our LGBTQ+ community — she actively made it happen.

She was a true advocate with a talent for turning ideas into action and making people — from first-time volunteers to long-time advocates — feel like a welcome, important part of the process. Whether it was leading the charge to create the NKY Pride Awards, coordinating our annual PrideFest and parade, or connecting members of our community, Katie always showed up when it mattered most. Always.

We are grieving this loss deeply along with all who loved her. And at the same time, we know the work she cared so much about doesn’t stop — it continues because of what she helped build and the example she set for all of us.

A Celebration of Life is pending at this time.

If you have memories of Katie or ways she impacted your life, we hope you’ll share them. To leave your condolences, please visit: https://www.connleybrothersfuneralhome.com/obituary/kathleen-marie-meyer/

New reel up on our Insta! 👀

Y'all..... We're INCREDIBLY excited to pull out a classic for Land Of The Sky Burlesque Festival this year! Our Boogaloo duet is an ode to the Palladium Ballroom in the 1950s, and it's been in our duet rotation since 2019. We'll be taking it for a spin in Asheville on 7/11 at their Saturday night "Just a Peak" showcase!
