Because the goal isn’t just to see the world…

It’s to leave it better than we found it.

This trip always brings tears to my eyes just thinking about it. I often wonder how the tree I planted is doing….it represented so much. As a single mother, I know the weight, the struggle and managing it all (emotionally, financially…the list goes on and on). Now, multiply this by 6 children, no proper latrine, no feeling of safety from the elements and the need to keep space for the goats to sleep at night so they aren’t stolen…topped with a feeling of abandonment. It was heavy but my heart was so full as we worked hard to lay the foundation on what would soon become a decent place to live. Something we all deserve.

Even small choices can create the biggest impact…oh the places you’ll go and the person you become.
