The LUMeN Lab at Emory University is currently recruiting healthy children, teens, and young adults aged 10-25 for a research study exploring positive experiences, memory, and brain activity across development.
Participation involves three visits over two years, including two with brain scans using fMRI and several months using a provided Fitbit. Participation is at no cost and compensation is provided for your time.

Our LUMeNaries were representing at the Brain Bee Regional Competition held at Emory University last weekend! 🙌 We brought back our fan-favorite Stroop Effect game and got to share info about our current studies with some really great teens and their families. 🐝

Huge congratulations to our undergraduate RA, Brooke Holsinger, for winning a poster award at the inaugural Society of Clinical Psychology conference held in Atlanta, GA earlier this month! 🎉 Brooke’s presentation came from data she analyzed as part of her Senior Thesis project.

Meet our Undergraduate Research Assistant, John Wang!

John (he/him) is a rising junior double majoring in Neuroscience and Behavioral Biology and Philosophy. He is planning to pursue cognitive neuroscience in an interdisciplinary manner in graduate school, and is looking to learn more about how humans form various cognitive processes in the brain. Other than research, he likes to read novels, go to classical concerts, and try out different restaurants.

Meet our Undergraduate Research Assistant, Vanessa Wang!

Vanessa (she/her) is a rising senior majoring in Psychology and minoring in Quantitative Sciences. She is very interested in studying cognitive functioning, emotion, and the roles they play in the development of mental illnesses. After graduation, she plans to keep pursuing higher education in the field of clinical psychology. Outside of the lab, she enjoys listening to music, reading, hiking, and trying out new restaurants with friends.

Meet our Undergraduate Research Assistant, Brooke Holsinger!

Brooke (she/her) is an incoming senior majoring in psychology. She is planning to attend graduate school for clinical psychology and eventually work as a therapist and researcher. She is interested in studying both the development of and cognitive processes involved in dissociative disorders, focusing heavily on memory. In her free time, Brooke loves working with animals, watching TV and movies, and producing music.
