These two braved an early morning for their sunrise engagement session and it was totally worth it—we had the entire spot to ourselves! Sometimes, there’s no way to avoid crowds because of a spot’s popularity but one way to work around that is opting for sunrise instead of sunset. Still golden hour, just less crowds. What would you choose? Sunset or sunrise?! ☀️

Sometimes a perfect engagement session is at your favorite national park, sometimes it’s your home, or maybe even a beach you visit often. Or possibly your favorite coffee shop within the town you call home, like Anyi and Brian chose for their session. All of these session locations share something in common: it’s where you feel connected to each other. Every couple’s story is different and your engagement session is just another way to tell that story and hold it close for all time. ❤️

Happy Friday y’all! Since it is should be spring but felt like winter again this morning, I’m throwing it back to another season: fall! This was my first real fall season in Georgia and the leaves did NOT disappoint. This family session was perfect timing for some gorgeous foliage and a beautifully sunny day 🍂☀️
Hope everyone has a great weekend!

It’s come to my attention that I have A LOT of content to post from some beautiful love stories ranging from epic proposals, beautiful families, adventurous weddings, and even a couple more *traditional* weddings thrown in there for good measure. I associate shot for this past fall and these two had one of the most fun wedding days ever! While 9 times out of 10 I will choose an off the beaten path elopement, K + C’s wedding felt different—intimate moments and details but still filled with the really fun parts of weddings like lots of cake and dancing. Plus, once the ceremony was over, the newlyweds spent the rest of the night clearly having a blast, together ❤️
I’m still getting used to the world of southern weddings but if they are like this…sign me up!

Proposal season is coming and I CANNOT WAIT 🥳
Whether you choose to propose just the two of you (with me hiding in nearby to take photos, of course) or you bring along your closest friends, I’m here to help make that magic happen and capture every moment 🫶🏻

Took a little break from social media posting the past month to reset for this new year. I have some complicated feelings about coming back online at this moment, with everything currently going on, but maybe posting will help the algorithm show not only my amazing clients and their photos but also to spread the message that this has always been and will continue to be a safe place for everyone including immigrants, the lgbtq+ community, black and brown folks, an everyone that n between. There’s nothing but love here ❤️
Now that I’ve gotten that off my chest, enjoy these adorable photos from Emily and Nick’s session with their fur babies this past fall while I was visiting in LA. Speaking of, be on the lookout for some potential LA dates popping up soon for spring—-reach out asap because space will be limited! ✌🏻

We may be dealing with two bouts of the flu over here but couldn’t resist posting this winning image from Cam and Taylor’s elopement! Private vows in the redwood treetops before your ceremony with family? Yes please!
Thank you to for promoting authentic moments and celebrating love ❤️

This is the part of running a business and needing to have an online presence that is frustrating. I want to tell you all about this beautiful, sweet, intimate elopement and how we ran around the Georgia State Capitol building getting the best angles and sharing lots of laughs. I want to tell you how gorgeous Millie looked in her dress and how Bobby couldn’t keep his eyes off her. I want to tell you all about this day partly because I genuinely do and partly because, my online presence is “required” as a small business.
But here’s where I am at right now:
I’m thinking of how dropping my kids off at school today and having hard conversations at 7am shouldn’t feel this scary. I am thinking about how are at the anniversary of Sandy Hook and nothing has changed. I’m thinking about how gun violence is just an accepted “price to pay” for second amendment rights. I’m thinking about how this same aforementioned rhetoric screams that it’s about mental health and then does everything in their power to strip healthcare access away from many who can no longer afford it. I’m thinking about how therapy and mental health is seen as a “snowflake” thing to many with that mindset and that kids in schools shouldn’t have access to counselors who will support them through their emotions. I’m thinking that I’m tired of it.
I’m tired of nothing changing. I’m tired of constantly living in fear of normal things like school, movie theaters, grocery shopping, airports, concerts, churches, etc.
So while I’m happy to tell you all about M + B’s beautiful elopement, I can’t let these other thoughts go without being said in the midst of yet another tragedy.

It may have been a smoky morning in Yosemite but Catalina’s proposal to Caitlin was still perfect. With an emotional proposal down on one knee, Caitlin said yes and then quickly was like “I thought *I* was going to propose first!” And this is why I love a good surprise—they are so much fun in planning but also in the reactions and conversations that happen immediately afterwards between the couple.
Another perfect morning in a perfect place. Congrats C+C!!! 🥳❤️

What happens when you hike up a mountain with two kiddos to the most glorious watering hole and meadows surrounded by the sierras? It’s magic ✨
Shirley and Bryant were my first ever couples session back in 2020 and from there they’ve let me be part of newborn sessions and watching their kiddos grow. When I floated this idea, we all knew it would be hit or miss—kids and hiking can go a lot of different ways. But they were patient and we let the kiddos take the lead from the moment we started. It ended with laughs while splashing in the water and running barefoot through the meadows.
Morals of the story: don’t underestimate your kiddos and book the session. Memories will be made and you won’t regret it ❤️
