Who you’d be working with:

DJ Burn One — producer, engineer, sound designer and Professor at Georgia State University’s School of Music. Gold plaque for Don Toliver’s LoveSickness. Production credits with A$AP Rocky, Nicki Minaj, Lil Durk, Freddie Gibbs, Young Dro and more. Mixed for David Banner, Trouble and more. Sound design on 1917, Justice League, Furiosa, Morbius. Placements on Marvel’s Iron Fist, Superfly, NBA Live 2019. Recording Academy member. 20+ years in the game.

What’s included:

8-hour block in Studio A THIS SUNDAY MAY 31st at Tree Sound Studios — $1,800
Full professional mix — $1,000
Master — $150
BTS video content — $500
Full production — $10,000

Real value: $13,450
What I’m charging: $3,000. One time.

Why am I doing this? I want to prove that a banger can be cooked and shipped fast when the right two people lock in. No overthinking, no sitting on it for months. Whip it up, make it as great as possible and share it with the world.

Here’s exactly what happens:

You pay, we schedule a creative call. I’ll either send beats to choose from or we cook from scratch in the session — your choice. Saturday I announce my selection. Sunday we hit the studio. The following Wednesday we’re back for playback and final tweaks. Mixed, mastered, video content done and ready to go.

I’m not just taking whoever though. I need a real one who’s going to show up and show out with me.

lots of feelings as I leave GSU to get back to my own music and art.
first and foremost, I’m appreciative of the last 3 years I was able to spend with my students. so much talent and creativity. not having graduated college myself, I never thought I’d be a Professor but when the opportunity arose it was a natural fit. super thankful for the time I spent here.
being self taught with no formal training led me to do things the admin thought weren’t part of the job — like teaching taste and having jam sessions in critical listening class. there’s a method to my madness though. 🥼
I heard say recently that “nothing has to be anything for it to be good.” feel over everything 💫
with that being said, there is no right or wrong way to teach a class when it comes to the arts. yes, I taught frequency & compression ear training and everything higher academia would expect but I also taught classes focused on listening to drums from the beginning of recorded music to now or playing a demo back to back with the final version of a song that went on to become a timeless record then breaking down the decisions and changes in between.
sometimes the most important measures of progress can’t be accessed by a test. go figure.
I hope I impacted my students the way they did me. I’m excited to get back to dropping music and pushing the needle forward. onward and upward ♨️🏁. first pic is from the day I got the job by teaching a high school camp how to cook up on the mpc live 2 in 10 minutes. put that work in, you never know where it may lead you 💫🏁

Can’t believe I made it to 40. I’m so blessed with an amazing family, dope squad and wonderful students at GSU. If you would have told me when I first started burning cds off AOL dial up chat rooms when I was 13 that I would be a gold producer, have songs in tv shows, movies and videos games AND be a Professor at GSU for the last 3 years I would have laughed. Much love to for steering the ship in our MTM program and taking a chance on me. Big thanks to my big bro for always being a guiding light in my life. I’ve stumbled more than a few times getting here but like my dad always said “if you get knocked down 99x, it doesn’t matter as long as you get up 100x.” There’s a real beauty in overcoming your own adversity and proving to yourself that it’s really in you and not on you.
