I first met this family when Emerson was a newborn and recently I returned to the same home to document their newest chapter. a baby sister, a promoted big brother and all of the moments that make this season theirs.

the kind of photos that let you remember not just what they looked like, but what this season of life actually felt like.

Some of my favorite sessions happen close to home, where your family already makes everyday memories.

No long drive.
No perfect location.
No elaborate plan.

Just a morning together, a blanket in the grass and the people you love most.

Years from now, I don’t think they’ll remember how hot it was.

They’ll remember being together.

And they’ll have these photographs to take them back.
