Each meal includes a protein, vegetable, fruit, grains, and dairy.

School meals are critical to students’ well-being and readiness to learn. Research has shown that children who eat breakfast and lunch at school rely on school meals for half of their daily energy intake.

Here at TELC, we love making art out of non conventional items!
Turn everyday items in your home into an art utensils! Ask your child to find items around the house. You can even use food coloring and water instead of paint!
This is fun activity for any day especially when it’s rainy outside.

All you need is:
White paper
Crayons, Markers or Sharpies

We call it a Color Scavenger Hunt!

Simply color areas of the paper various colors and allow your kids to go find a object that matches!

You can do this at home, outside, or even in the grocery store!

You probably hear it all the time but we believe play is a critical piece to learning.
According to research, Play is linked to growth in memory, self- regulation, language, and symbol recognition.
Play time is the prefect breeding ground for new information such as new words, broader ideas and roles, and much more.
Encourage Play time!

Did you know early language skills and the foundation for reading ability/school readiness are developed during the FIRST YEARS of life. According to the Literacy Project,
Higher reading exposure was 95% positively correlated with a growing region supporting semantic language processing in the brain.

Even as infants, incorporate a book or two before bedtime or anytime. Books are the best!
