Myth or fact? You need perfect credit to buy a home. MYTH! The reality is that while a higher credit score generally allows for a more favorable interest rate, it doesn’t mean that poor credit is an insurmountable hurdle. There are many options available for buyers of all incomes and credit tiers. Talk to your lender and if you hear “no,” keep looking! It may take some research and some time to build up the credit or cash reserves you need, but sooner or later you’ll find the perfect match for your unique situation.

Real estate agents do a lot of things every day, and it definitely goes beyond this shortlist! Networking with other agents is a MUST because they can give the inside scoop on new listings that are coming up before they hit the market publicly. If there's a buyer, an agent can spend the day on MLS looking for the perfect property to make sure their client is happy. Once the buyer finds a home, it's time for negotiations! This usually involves a lot of phone calls and e-mails. Once an agreement has been made, it's time to put the contract together!
