Meet Hon. Larry Mims. Larry served as judge of the State Court of Tift County from August 2000 to December 2014, presiding over misdemeanor criminal cases, general and complex civil cases, and handling temporary protective orders in superior court. Previously, he was solicitor of the State Court of Tift County from 1989 to July 2000, prosecuting misdemeanor cases. In his private law practice from 1980-2000, he focused on criminal law, family law, civil rights litigation, personal injury, and bankruptcy. Appointed as a senior judge by Governor Brian Kemp in March 2022, he currently serves as a senior judge and mediator/arbitrator at Miles Mediation, specializing in personal injury, premises liability, domestic relations, trust, estates, probate, and commercial contracts.

Meet Kristen Pitts. Kristen, an advocate for injured victims since 2006, is a mediator and a dedicated trial lawyer at KP Law Group, where she ensures fair outcomes for her clients. With a background at some of Georgia's largest personal injury firms, she aims to provide big-firm quality and exceptional customer service to the wider community. Kristen is a graduate of the Georgia Association of Women Lawyers Leadership Academy and has received recognition from the National Black Lawyers and the National Trial Lawyers for her outstanding achievements.

Meet Marci Joel. Marci is an experienced attorney and mediator who began her mediation journey in 2004 through the Los Angeles Superior Court ADR program. Trained by the Pepperdine Strauss Institute for Dispute Resolution, she continued her mediation practice after relocating to Georgia. Marci attended the of the University of Southern California (USC) for both undergraduate and law school, and has a diverse legal background, litigating in areas such as business and contracts, entertainment, product liability, premises liability, insurance coverage, legal malpractice, and general civil litigation.

Marci is also a former small business owner who brings that unique experience and insight to mediating business disputes. Marci believes mediation provides clients their "day in court" and an opportunity to be fully heard and listened to, while maintaining control over the costs and outcome of their cases. Beyond her legal work, Marci actively volunteers in the community, enjoys coaching a high school mock trial team, and is a busy married mom of three. Her passions are scuba diving, poker, and supporting the USC Trojans.
