Today our talented filly Cynane runs in the Grade 2 Queen Mary along with 27 other runners in the first race at Royal Ascot in Berkshire, England. The five-furlong race will kick off at 9:30 AM ET. We have post position 18 which puts us in the middle of the pack. The race is a pure straight away. Tom Morley will walk the course this morning along with Javier Castellano to try to determine which side of the course has the better ground. We go off at 12-1 odds. Big day for WPR and Cynane! Both runners drew in today as the 1 1/16th mile race came off the turf and will be run on the main track at 2:32. They will be assigned the 1 and 1A post positions respectively. It is a crowded 12-horse field. Right now, our odds are at 8-1, but wouldn’t be surprised if they drop closer to post time due to Oglethorpe’s last performance. Our boys have a great challenge today! Today, two horses are running on behalf of West Paces Racing at Belmont, Cynane and Steady Scheming, in the 1st race and the 9th race respectively. Cynane will run in the first race today at 3:05 pm ET and is the first of our 2-year olds to run in a race. A Maiden Special Weight on Turf going 5 Furlongs, this race has qualification implications regarding Royal Ascot in mid-June. As the fourth favorite, we have every reason to hit the board based on Cynane's workouts. With our jockey, Javier Castellano, fresh off his derby win, I love our odds. Good luck Cynane!
