Last week, the Atkinson Lions Club held its final dinner meeting of the year, and it was a very special evening.

We were honored to welcome Joe Byron, Founder and Executive Director of Honor Flight New England, as our guest speaker. Joe shared the incredible work Honor Flight does bringing veterans to Washington, D.C. to visit the memorials dedicated to their service and sacrifice. A special thank you to Lion Dennis Stasio for arranging such a meaningful presentation.

Last October, Lions Dennis Stasio and Ralph Steere participated in an Honor Flight themselves and spoke very highly of the experience.

The evening also included a very special moment as the club proudly presented the prestigious Melvin Jones Award to Lion Fred Young. Fred’s dedication, generosity, and years of steady service have made a lasting impact on our club and our community. Whether helping behind the scenes, supporting club projects, or always being willing to lend a hand, Fred represents what Lionism is all about.

It was especially meaningful to have Fred’s family there to share in the moment as he received this well-deserved recognition.

Thank you, Fred, for everything you continue to do for the Atkinson Lions Club. Congratulations!!

The Atkinson Lions had an amazing afternoon!! Today, we visited The New Hampshire Veterans Home to help with their first cookout of the season! It was an honor to serve those who have served us.

We want to thank the wonderful staff of the veterans home for a great day, and for all that they do for our nations hero’s. We look forward to coming back again! Thank you to all Lions who were able to attend!!!

The Atkinson Lions Club is excited to see our new sign officially installed at Field 1 at Woodlock Park.

We are proud to support a place that means so much to so many local families, athletes, and community members throughout the year. It is always great to see the Lions Club represented in spaces that bring the community together.

Thank you to everyone who helped make this happen.

Check it out!

🦁🦁A few weeks ago, members of the Atkinson Lions Club spent the morning cleaning up Main Street and Academy Avenue, and the difference was incredible.

In total, the group filled 96 bags of trash, helping make both roads look dramatically better and showing what can happen when people come together to take pride in their community.🦁🦁

Thank you to everyone who volunteered their time and effort for the cleanup. Your hard work made a real impact!

Yesterday, members of the Atkinson Lions Club participated in a food packaging event with End Hunger New England.

We are grateful to everyone who came out to help, and especially to the Leos who joined us and played a big role in the effort. It was a great turnout and a meaningful way to give back!

What a night at the Brothers Doobie concert!!!

The Brothers Doobie put on a great show and gave everyone exactly what they came for. It was one of those nights where everything just came together. Thank you all!

A sincere thank you to everyone who bought a ticket and showed up to support us. And a big thank you to our Lions and volunteers who spent months planning, setting up, and making sure the night ran the way it did. That work is what made this possible.

We’re grateful for the support. Here are some photos from the night!!!
