Big thanks to Iris, Tobias and Tyler who tested out some new moves, cleaned some holds and helped revise assessments of difficulty of a couple key lines. 1. The boulder problem start to one inch punch is harder than we anticipated. 2. Slappy fish crux as at least as hard as we thought. 3. The hidden biscuit is getting 2 new votes for 5.8, rather than 5.9. Thank you as well for cleaning holds and helping the midweek extended evening!

Anchors away! Join us Monday afternoon or early evening as we swap out anchors for new stainless steel appliances. Not dishwashers. Quick links, chains, and beefy biners. Message us here or in the climb Athens group me and come sample the new routes so we can get ropes up and add new stainless steel appliances for all the routes.

Big thank you to Chang Liu! Together we updated 10 anchor bolts to at Stroud’s Run, bringing the project much closer to completion! On Saturday another crew will hang new stainless steel hardware on about 15 routes. We expect to complete all updates before May 1st.

Work day Saturday! Pedestal Fest!!!

We need route climbers, rock movers, hold cleaners and Boulderers with pads. We need people who want to learn about bolting. People who want to build a better base setup at the pedestal.

Saturday- Meet at 10 am at the horseman’s parking or 9:30 at the dojo.

Giant thank you to Ben, Quynh, Mike for trail expertise and hard work on both Saturday and Sunday of last week!!! Because of you we made so much progress on the Stroud’s climbing development project. Thank you to the Athens Bicycle Club for equipment and expertise!!

Giant thanks to: Ben, Quynh, Mike, John, Michael, Nathan, Nick, Tobias, Anna, and Ted. We built a new section for the horse trail near Court Street Crag, cleaned holds on the Pedestal, confirmed the viability of a hard route on Easter Island, started the development of the crag base at the Pedestal and cleaned sand off key routes at the Court Street Crag. Phwew!
