Scammers might try to trick you into giving them authentication codes sent to your phone to access your financial accounts. If you are ever asked for your PIN, an authentication code, or your bank number over the phone, don't give it.

As Medicare Open Enrollment approaches, now is a good time to gather your health insurance cards and learn which ones are in your hand. From Medicare and Medicare Advantage to Part D, Medigap, and Medicaid, each card tells part of the story about your coverage.

Watch out for emails saying you have won a Medicare kit! These emails might look like they are coming from recognizable places, but they are scammers trying to get your information. They want you to click links in the email. Please report these emails to the SMP right away at smpresource.org/reportfraud.

If you receive Extra Help with your Medicare prescription drug costs, keep an eye on your mailbox soon.

Starting in September through November, some people may receive notices about changes to their Extra Help status or prescription drug plan for 2027.
