TOMORROW IS THE DAY! It’s farmstand season at Deeded Oaks! 🌻🌱

These vegetables, some bouquets, household favorites, and whatever else we can wade out to in the morning ☔️) will be set up by 9 🎉

I have so many emotions and so many feelings but I’ve got some arrangements to make so if you need me, I’ll be in the kitchen crying happy tears with my flowers. 🫶 (And that huge farm stand sign that’s been taking up residency in the house until I get it installed 😅)

I’m so extremely grateful for everyone on this journey with us and cannot wait to share this season with you all! 💕

We open the stand in two days, and while this masterpiece won’t be making an appearance there, you will find veggies, flowers, and maybe even a few surprise goodies. 🤫 And when some special artwork eventually makes its debut… you’ll know exactly where it came from. 🎨

I’m a little biased, but I’ll take these over store bought any day!

I’ll never forget the first - and only - time little man saw them at the store (when ours were not ready yet) and asked if we could buy some. When we got home and he took a bite he said “mama, I think we bought the wrong kind. They DO NOT taste like ours” 🙃🤣

If you’ve ever had a farm fresh blackberry soon after a Summer rain, you know what I mean. If the weather cooperates, we’ll have these available at the stand this weekend!

Pumpkins in May? Not this year 😅

We cooked up our first round zucchini last night. We diced it up with a straight neck squash and yellow zucchini, topped it with some homemade herb butter, and enjoyed! 💚

We should have more ready for the weekend farm stand opening, but yall know I had to taste test first 😋

The garden has a way of reminding us that so much of life is out of our hands. The sun, the rain, the timing, the waiting. You can tend and prepare and plan… but growth comes in its own time. ⏰

And after a whole lot of watching the weather and peeking at plants (and wading out in the garden!), I think we’ll be ready to share by this weekend.🌿

So the 4️⃣ day countdown to opening the farm stand is officially on. 🎉

I snuck out for a quick ride around the acres (and some fresh air) with the blueberry bandit today between rainstorms. We didn’t find any blueberries, but these blackberries surprised us. 🖤😍

This rain is serving the garden well 🌦️☔️ I can’t wait to see what all pops out over the next few days

I’ve been getting stems from the little boss man for a few weeks now, but this was our first official bouquet of the year. We’re calling it “a little bit of everything and a whole lot of nothing”. Nonetheless, it was cut and delivered with a whole lot of love and intention.

I spy Dahlia, Coreopsis, Lavender, and Sweet William mixed in this one.

He’s a farmer, he’s an artist, he’s a ninja, and my personal favorite - he made me a Mama. 💙 My sidekick and I ended the evening coloring and his masterpiece was a drawing of our garden. Dahlias, hydrangeas, corn, and watermelon are stealing the show tonight. 🌼🍉

This Mother’s Day we’re sending so much love to all of you filling the role of nurturing to someone!
